How to report an error
Email hello@calculatorbasics.com with the subject line: Correction: [page URL]. Include the URL, the figure you believe is wrong, and any primary source that supports the correction.
Response commitment
We acknowledge correction requests within 2 business days. Verified factual or data errors are corrected as quickly as the fix can be validated and deployed.
Types of fixes
- Typo fixes — spelling, formatting, or broken links corrected silently without a log entry.
- Data corrections — wrong figures, outdated rates, or misapplied formulas that change a published number. Logged below with date, page, before/after, and reason.
- Methodology changes — intentional formula or assumption updates. Logged here and reflected on the relevant Methodology page.
